CG TET Eligibility Criteria 2024
Educational Qualification
For Paper 1 (Primary Teachers)
- Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education, or
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education, or
- Graduation with BEd (final year appearing or passed).
For Paper 2 (Upper Primary Teachers)
- Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or
- Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in one-year BEd or
- Class 12 with minimum 50% marks with a four-year BElEd or BA/BScEd/BAEd/BScEd.
CG TET Age Limit
- The board has not announced the exact upper age limit. Candidates must be above 18 years old.
Exam Pattern
The CG TET exam consists of two papers i.e. Paper 1 (for candidates who intend to teach classes 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (for candidates who wish to teach classes 6 to 8). Each paper follows a specific pattern, detailed in the table below:

How to apply online for the Chhattisgarh TET 2024?
- Begin by visiting the CG Vyapam official website at vyapam.cgstate.gov.in.
- Click on the ‘Online Applications’ tab available on the homepage.
- From the list of examinations, locate and select the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) option to proceed to the CG TET section.
- Now find the ‘Online Application Form- TET’ link and click on it.
- When filling out the application form, select which paper you wish to apply for, Paper 1 or Paper 2. Choose according to your qualifications and preferences.
- Accurately enter all requested information in the application form. This will include personal data, educational backgrounds, and other pertinent details.
